At approximately 1:12 p.m. today, Anchorage Police Dept. and Anchorage Fire Dept. personnel responded to a report about a construction accident at the Port of Anchorage expansion site. After AFD attempted a rescue effort in the water, the accident victim was recovered from Cook Inlet and declared dead at the scene.
